Digital rear-view helmetReviewing in progressMade popular on 24/4/09.My idea is to equip a motorbike helmet with a tiny video camera on the rear, and digital display on the visor. This way, the rear-view could be displayed in transparency on a small area of the visor. Technology is already available for such display. I just wonder if there would be a market.

Clips for instant shoe-lacingReviewing in progress -> Fashion -> AccessoriesMade popular on 17/4/09.My idea is to incorporate two small clips at the top of a shoe. You could use this system to firmly grip your laces instead of knotting them. Of course, the system could be adapted to other items such as bags, etc...

Anti-Mosquito LaserReviewing in progress -> Technology -> DeviceMade popular on 23/3/09.I think we have the technology to produce an automatic anti-mosquito laser. The frequency of the wing movements of a mosquito is characteristic and can be used to detect them. And cheap lasers are now powerful enough to kill a mosquito. The device would find its market because its advantage compared to odour-based devices is that it can be used outdoors.

3D Liquid CrystalsReviewing in progress -> Technology -> DeviceMade popular on 16/1/09.Who has never dreamed of a 3D television set like you can see in some futuristic movies ? Well it's 2009, and I think it's time we do it ! A 2D LCD screen consists of lines of liquid crystals put one near the other in a plane. I don't think it would be difficult to find a way to arrange columns of liquid crystals, not restricted to a plane, but to a cube ! The pedestal could be used to send electric current acting on the crystals.

Using microbes to protect art piecesWorth considering -> ArtsMade popular on 19/2/09.Art and artefact collections are under assault from mold, fungus and insects. The impact is not negligible, particularly on delicate objets d'art in tropical climates. Some micro-organisms have cleaning macro-abilities. I think it is possible to clean a dirty piece with carefully chosen bacteria.
